Queensland Police are seeking public assistance to locate 86-year-old Charles Holdcroft, who was reported missing from Southport at around 12pm today, Thursday 27 August 2026. Police say he was last seen near Hospital Boulevard and have concerns for his welfare because he has a medical condition.

Charles is described as approximately 172–176cm tall, with grey hair and hazel eyes. When last seen, he was wearing dark blue trousers, a blue-and-white checked shirt with a vest over the top, and had his hair slicked back. Police say he was also carrying two white shopping bags.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen Charles in Southport today, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact police immediately. The search is focused on locating him safely and establishing his movements since he was last seen.

Residents, visitors, motorists and businesses in the Southport area are encouraged to remain alert and consider whether they may have relevant CCTV or other information that could assist police.
