A 95-year-old man has been charged following a serious road crash on the NSW Central Coast. The investigation was conducted by officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District and the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit. A crime scene was established after the incident, with investigators conducting extensive inquiries into the circumstances of the collision.

Following the investigation, Crash Investigation Unit officers attended a home in Bateau Bay at approximately 11:50am on Saturday, August 15. The elderly man was issued a Court Attendance Notice and charged with five offences.

The charges include dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, along with other alleged driving offences. The matter will now proceed through the NSW court system.
