A Gold Coast business owner is facing 79 charges under Queensland's Summary Offences Act following an investigation into alleged social-media content promoting illegal hooning behaviour. Police allege videos and images showing activities such as burnouts were posted through a Facebook page associated with his business.

The accused, a 24-year-old man from Upper Coomera, appeared at Southport Magistrates Court after police investigations into the online material. The alleged posts were made between January and May 2026.

Police say the material was connected with promoting the reputation of the business, which sells streetwear and products associated with Australian car culture. The case has raised concerns about the online promotion of dangerous driving and illegal hooning activities.

The accused was granted bail with conditions restricting him from posting or indirectly sharing material relating to type-one hooning offences. He is due to return to court on 17 September 2026.

In a separate matter, police allege the man was also charged with five additional offences in June involving alleged possession of illicit substances, drug paraphernalia and unauthorised ammunition. Those allegations are also before the courts.

The charges remain allegations and have not been proven in court. The accused is entitled to the presumption of innocence.
