Classes at Sunnybank State High School were temporarily disrupted after a bomb threat was made against the school on Thursday morning. Police arrived within minutes and evacuated students as a precaution while officers conducted safety sweeps across the campus. Authorities later confirmed there was no ongoing threat, allowing classes to resume later in the morning. Education officials said parents and caregivers were notified, with counselling and guidance support made available to affected students. The incident follows another recent bomb hoax that forced the evacuation of a Brisbane business earlier this week.
