Two people have been found dead inside a home in Campania, a rural township about 30 kilometres north of Hobart in southern Tasmania. Emergency services were called to the property shortly after 10am, where paramedics located the bodies of a man and a woman. Detective Inspector David Gill said initial investigations suggest the incident was contained to the residence and police do not believe any other people were involved. A crime scene has been established and forensic officers remain at the property as inquiries continue. Tasmania Police has stated there is no evidence of any ongoing threat to the wider community and has appealed for anyone with relevant information to contact authorities.
