Bailey, who originally came through Norwood, rejected Adelaide’s seven-year proposal and instead agreed to an eight-year deal with Brisbane.

Nicks said the decision would not change Adelaide’s broader approach to building its playing list. The Crows have increasingly positioned themselves as an attractive destination for established AFL talent, with previous successful additions including Jordan Dawson and Izak Rankine.
