Emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway at Colosseum in the Gladstone region after a B-double truck transporting supermarket food and drinks caught fire around 9:30am. Explosions were reported as the trailer became fully engulfed, with flames spreading to nearby grassland before firefighters contained the blaze. Police temporarily closed the highway in both directions while crews worked at the scene, though southbound lanes later reopened. Queensland authorities confirmed there were no injuries and no crash was involved in the incident.
