The five individuals have since been charged with multiple offences arising from the incident. The charges include being armed with an offensive weapon, engaging in violent conduct, aggravated assault and property damage.
Police said the five alleged offenders have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday, 7 September 2026.
The situation developed further on Saturday when police received additional reports at approximately 12:05 PM concerning threats of possible violent reprisals connected with the original incident. Those reports prompted another police response.
Northern Territory Police have strongly warned people connected with the dispute against attempting to retaliate or take matters into their own hands. Police said any threats or acts of retaliation would be treated seriously and could result in further arrests.
Investigators have now taken carriage of the matter and are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged attack, including the involvement of the larger group reported to have attended the property.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant footage to come forward. Members of the public with information can contact police on 131 444, quoting reference NTP2600085741. Anonymous information can also be provided through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The allegations against the five accused people have not been proven in court. Each accused person is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until proven guilty.
