featuring more than 50 events celebrating food, light, art, music and entertainment. The Copper Coast came alive over the weekend as the biennial FLAME Festival transformed Wallaroo, Kadina and Moonta into vibrant hubs of creativity and community celebration. Organised by Copper Coast Council, the festival showcased more than 50 events, performances, workshops and activations under the banner of Food, Light, Art, Music and Entertainment. Festivities began on Friday, May 8, when around 1,000 spectators gathered at Wallaroo Sailing Club Beach to watch the dramatic arrival of Winda the Owl. Saturday’s program centred on “Grounds of Delight” at Kadina Showgrounds, where live music, fire dancing and fireworks captivated the crowd. The festival concluded on Mother’s Day with “Mayfair” in Queen Square, offering a festive finale for families and visitors. Supported by local community groups and businesses, FLAME Festival once again highlighted the Copper Coast’s strong artistic spirit and its ability to attract visitors from across the region.
