The Geelong Cats have announced the long-term commitments of two promising talents, Nathan O'Connor and Daniel Wiltshire, who will remain with the club for the next three seasons.
O'Connor, a versatile midfielder, has impressed during his debut year with his dynamic playmaking and defensive tenacity. Wiltshire, a forward known for his accurate kicking and strong aerial presence, has quickly become a fan favourite. Both players expressed excitement about continuing to develop within the Cats’ system.
Club president Mark Hines praised the signings as a testament to the Cats’ attractive culture and development pathways. "We are thrilled to have Nathan and Daniel stay with us," Hines said. "Their dedication and performance align perfectly with our vision for sustained success."
The contracts were signed in a ceremony at Kardinia Park, where the duo thanked supporters and highlighted the supportive environment that helped them reach this milestone. Analysts predict that the added depth will strengthen the Cats’ competitiveness in the upcoming season, particularly in the midfield and forward line.
With these signings, the Cats reinforce their commitment to nurturing talent and maintaining a strong core of players who embody the club’s values.
