as her looming resignation will trigger a by-election in Farrer and headaches for Liberal leader Angus Taylor. Former Liberal leader Sussan Ley will leave Parliament with a golden handshake under the former Parliamentary Super scheme, as a looming by-election in her seat of two decades is due to cause a headache for Angus Taylor. Ms Ley announced she would quit politics shortly after losing the leadership to Mr Taylor in a ballot on Friday morning, citing her desire to spend more time with family and step away “completely” from public life. “I will be spending the next couple of weeks thanking the amazing people of Farrer and expressing my gratitude to them for the honour of representing them for 25 years,” Ms Ley said.
