Dozens of Queensland drivers have challenged speeding fines issued from a trailer-mounted speed camera in Bororen, central Queensland. Drivers argued the camera was positioned close to where the speed limit increases from 60km/h to 100km/h, with some claiming inadequate signage. Several cases have been heard in Bundaberg Magistrates Court, where some fines were dismissed or reduced due to prosecution delays and disputes over applicable speed zones. Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads maintains the site is considered high-risk for speeding offences.
