The South East sporting community has come together to remember Amelia Milne, a 17-year-old teenager from Compton, following her sudden death in June 2026. Amelia was a valued member of several sporting communities, including the Mount Gambier Cycling Club, where she was recognised for her passion for riding and her commitment to the sport. The Mount Gambier Swimming Club remembered Amelia for her dedication in the pool, describing her as someone who approached training and competitions with commitment and a positive mindset. The Gambier Centrals Soccer Club also paid tribute following Amelia’s passing, expressing condolences to her family and recognising the impact she had within the local sporting community. Players and teams showed respect through gestures including wearing black armbands during matches.
