The Western Australian Government will transfer 8.8 hectares of land at 165 Willcock Drive in Mahomets Flats to the City of Greater Geraldton for a nominal $1 fee as part of efforts to address the regional housing shortage. The site is planned to become a 140-dwelling key worker accommodation village aimed at supporting essential workers and easing rental pressure in Geraldton. The project has also received $8.7 million through the State Government’s Infrastructure Development Fund to assist with utilities and enabling works.
