A teenager accused of negligent driving following a fatal crash on the NSW Central Coast has been refused bail in court today, Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The case follows a serious crash at Point Clare early Monday morning in which a 15-year-old boy died.

Emergency services were called to Alukea Avenue, near Kurrawa Avenue, at approximately 2:20am on September 14 after reports that a Mazda sedan had crashed and rolled near the railway corridor between Point Clare and Tascott stations. Police said the vehicle had allegedly been stolen from Narara before the crash.

The Mazda reportedly left the road at a bend on the rail overpass before crashing into the rail corridor and rolling. A 15-year-old male passenger was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and transported to Gosford Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he died after arriving at hospital.

An 18-year-old woman who was also in the vehicle was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital in Westmead for treatment. Police subsequently commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
