More than 3,360 homes and businesses around Mildura were left without electricity on Monday morning after a vehicle struck a power pole at Birdwoodton in north-west Victoria. The incident occurred on 21 September 2026 and caused a significant disruption to the local electricity network.

Emergency services attended the crash on McEdward Street, Birdwoodton, shortly after 6:30am. Paramedics treated people at the scene and transported one woman to Mildura Hospital following the collision.
