Two people have been charged following a police operation targeting alleged drug supply and property-related offences in Forbes, a regional town in central western New South Wales.

NSW Police announced the charges on Friday, 6 November 2026, following an investigation conducted by officers attached to the Central West Police District.

According to police, Strike Force Ferront was established in July 2026 by the Rural Crime Prevention Team to investigate suspected rural criminal activities, particularly alleged drug distribution and property offences in the Forbes area.

As part of the investigation, officers carried out a search warrant at a property on Scrivener Street, Forbes, at approximately 9 am on Thursday, 5 November 2026.

The operation involved officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team, Western Region Operations Support Group and Central West Police District.

During the search, police allegedly located and seized a quantity of methylamphetamine, commonly known as ice. Several Milwaukee-brand power tools and a blue sedan were also seized by investigators.

Following the search, officers arrested a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman at the property. Both were taken to Parkes Police Station for further investigation and questioning.

The man was charged with multiple offences, including supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, larceny involving property valued between $5,000 and $15,000, and two counts of damaging property.

He was also charged with offences relating to entering enclosed land without lawful excuse, driving while disqualified, and using an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

Police will allege in court that the power tools seized during the operation were stolen from a business in Forbes on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Investigators also allege that the traffic-related offences occurred on the same date.

The man was refused bail and was scheduled to appear before Bail Division Court 4 on Friday, 6 November 2026.

The 37-year-old woman was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order.

She was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Parkes Local Court on 10 December 2026.

Police have not disclosed the full quantity of drugs allegedly seized during the search. Investigators are continuing to examine the evidence collected during the operation.

The investigation forms part of wider efforts by NSW Police to address drug-related crime and property offences in regional communities.

Forbes and surrounding areas rely on local businesses, agricultural operations and transport networks, making property-related crime a concern for residents and business owners.

Police investigations into alleged drug distribution and stolen property can involve examining financial records, electronic devices, vehicle movements and other evidence to establish connections between suspected offences.

The latest arrests represent a significant development in Strike Force Ferront, which has been investigating alleged criminal activity in the Central West region since July.

Both accused individuals will face the court process, and the allegations against them have not yet been proven.
