Jye Kentyn Watson, 39, was sentenced in Coffs Harbour Local Court after pleading guilty to a police pursuit charge linked to a 10km chase on Coramba Road. The court heard Watson later handed himself in to police, with his lawyer citing anxiety and a “brain fade” during the incident. Magistrate M O’Brien fined Watson $300 and disqualified him from driving for 12 months, warning of the dangers posed by the pursuit on winding country roads at night.
