Three teenagers have been arrested following an alleged shooting at a residential property in Lansvale, south-west Sydney, in the early hours of Friday, 16 October 2026. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, during which several shots were reportedly fired into a home occupied by three people.

According to the published report, police were called to Willis Street shortly before 12:30 am after receiving reports of gunfire. Officers arrived and began examining the property, where they found evidence consistent with a shooting. Three people were inside the house at the time: a 59-year-old woman and two men aged 23 and 21. All three reportedly escaped injury. The incident nevertheless raised serious concerns because firearms were allegedly discharged at an occupied residence.

A short time later, police stopped a dark grey sedan on Hollywood Drive in Lansvale. During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located a firearm and a balaclava. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the vehicle and the items recovered as part of their inquiries.

Police subsequently arrested three teenagers: two boys aged 17 and 18, and a 17-year-old girl. They were taken to Cabramatta Police Station, where investigations continued.

The circumstances surrounding the alleged shooting remain under investigation. Authorities are examining the evidence gathered at the property and during the vehicle stop to establish what happened, identify the roles of those involved and determine whether additional charges are warranted.

The published report also indicated that investigators were examining the possible intended target of the attack. However, the motive has not been conclusively established in the information publicly available, and any claims about why the property was targeted should be treated cautiously.

Detectives and forensic officers attended the scene to examine the property, document apparent bullet damage and collect evidence, including spent ammunition casings. Such evidence can help investigators reconstruct the sequence of events and compare findings with other information gathered during an investigation.

The arrests highlight the serious risks associated with alleged firearm offences in residential neighbourhoods. Gunfire directed at an occupied home can endanger residents, neighbours and emergency responders, even when no one is physically injured.

Police inquiries are continuing, and further information may emerge as investigators review forensic evidence, witness accounts and other material. The arrests do not, by themselves, establish guilt, and any charges must be determined through the legal process.
