Essential tree maintenance works are planned for Donvale as authorities prepare to manage vegetation growing near high-voltage powerlines along Woodhouse Road.

Manningham Council has announced that Woodhouse Road, between Currajong Street and Hunt Street, will be closed on Friday, 28 August 2026, from 7am while the works are carried out. The project is being undertaken to safely maintain trees located close to high-voltage electrical infrastructure.

The planned works are focused on electrical safety and vegetation management. Trees and branches growing too close to powerlines can create safety risks, particularly during strong winds, storms or other adverse weather conditions.
