A 25-year-old man is in serious but stable condition at Royal North Shore Hospital after being deliberately set on fire at an apartment complex on Todd Street in Warrawong, south of Wollongong. Emergency services were called to the scene around 9:00 PM, where nearby residents and paramedics provided urgent treatment before the victim was airlifted to hospital. According to Brad Ainsworth, the attacker allegedly forced entry into the unit, poured an accelerant over the victim, and ignited it in what police described as a “very violent, very direct attack.” Investigators believe the offender and victim may know each other, and NSW Police are appealing for public assistance as the investigation continues.
