Police have launched an investigation and manhunt following an alleged stabbing in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs that left a man with a neck injury.

Emergency services were called to Broughton Street in Glenside at approximately 9.30pm on Friday after reports that a man had allegedly been stabbed. Police and paramedics attended the scene, where the injured man was treated before being transported to hospital for further medical assessment.

According to police, the man suffered an injury to his neck. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, providing some reassurance about his immediate condition. However, the incident has prompted a significant police investigation as officers work to establish exactly what happened and identify the person responsible.

The alleged offender is believed to have fled the area following the incident. South Australia Police subsequently began searching for the suspect and appealed to members of the public for information that could assist the investigation.

Investigators are expected to examine CCTV footage and other available evidence from the area as they attempt to reconstruct the events leading up to the alleged stabbing.
