NSW Finance and Natural Resources Minister Courtney Houssos has criticised the Liberal and National parties after they voted in favour of repealing New South Wales’ ban on uranium mining and nuclear energy facilities. The proposed legislation, introduced by John Rudik, passed the Legislative Council and will now move to the Legislative Assembly, where the Minns Labor Government has pledged to oppose it. Labor says its focus remains on renewable energy backed by gas, while accusing the Coalition of lacking a clear and consistent energy strategy.
