Tamworth to Host Aboriginal Business Leaders at NSW Government Roundtable

Aboriginal business owners and entrepreneurs will be invited to connect with government and industry leaders at a Tamworth business roundtable in September.

Tamworth has been announced as the host location for the next NSW Government Aboriginal Business Roundtable, bringing Aboriginal business owners, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and government representatives together on Gomeroi Country. The event will take place in Tamworth on 10 September 2026 under the theme “Foundations of Tomorrow”. It will be the tenth NSW Aboriginal Business Roundtable and will be delivered alongside the Gather and Grow engagement series. The program is designed to help Aboriginal businesses connect with government buyers, share knowledge and explore opportunities to participate in government supply chains. New and established Aboriginal business owners will have an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and industry representatives while discussing challenges and opportunities for business growth. The event will also include keynote presentations and a panel discussion involving government and business representatives. A major focus will be the NSW Government's Aboriginal Procurement Policy, which aims to increase participation by Aboriginal businesses in government contracts, purchasing and supply chains. The Tamworth event is expected to provide a regional platform for business owners who may not regularly have access to government and industry networking opportunities in Sydney. The initiative also highlights the role of regional centres such as Tamworth in supporting economic development and business opportunities across northern and north-western NSW.
