Serial fraudster Dean Parry has learned his fate in court after running multiple scams through Facebook Marketplace and a fake scrap metal operation. Prosecutors said Parry advertised vacant buildings and items he did not own, convincing victims to transfer thousands of dollars before disappearing with the money. The court heard the scams affected several victims across regional Victoria. Parry pleaded guilty to numerous deception-related offences and was sentenced in court this week.
