The has launched an Expressions of Interest (EOI) process to find partners to deliver the proposed Miami Arts Depot (MAD), a large mixed-use creative industries precinct in Miami. The project aims to redevelop a former council depot into a hub for screen production, visual effects, gaming, technology, and digital innovation, alongside residential, retail and community spaces. The precinct is being developed in partnership with Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin’s production company, which will serve as an anchor tenant and creative partner. Officials say the project could generate around $130 million annually for the local economy and support more than 1,000 jobs, with the EOI process closing on 31 July 2026 before a preferred developer is selected.
