During the search, officers allegedly seized two rifles, a shortened rifle, two revolvers, ammunition, two crossbows with bolts, nunchucks, mace, a high-powered laser device, knuckle-dusters, a throwing knife, a spear gun, ornamental battle axes, daggers, a combat knife, air pistols, air rifles, several gel blasters, cash and property suspected of being stolen. Police said all seized items will undergo forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
A 27-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were arrested at the scene and taken to Penrith Police Station. The younger man was charged with dozens of offences relating to firearms, prohibited weapons, alleged drug supply and dealing with suspected stolen property. The older man was charged with possessing goods suspected of being stolen and possessing housebreaking implements. Both men were refused bail and were scheduled to appear before Bail Division Court on 1 August 2026.
Police have not alleged that the ornamental battle axes were used in any violent incident, but said they formed part of the prohibited weapons allegedly located during the search. Investigators will continue examining the seized items and gathering evidence as the case progresses through the courts. As the matter is before the courts, the allegations have not been proven.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by NSW Police to target the unlawful possession of firearms and prohibited weapons across Sydney and to reduce risks to community safety.
