A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Gosford on the New South Wales Central Coast earlier this week. The incident occurred on Mann Street at about 7:30pm on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, when emergency services responded to reports that a man had been stabbed.

Police found a 22-year-old man, later identified in media reports as Zane Robson, suffering multiple stab wounds. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene before he was transported to Gosford Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities have said they do not believe the incident was random and that the victim and the alleged offender were known to each other.

Following several days of investigation, detectives arrested the teenage boy and a 45-year-old woman at a home in Lake Haven during the early hours of 1 August 2026. The teenager was charged with murder and refused bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Children's Bail Court. The woman was charged with allegedly hindering the apprehension of the boy. She was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in court at a later date.

NSW Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence as the matter proceeds through the courts. As legal proceedings are ongoing, the charges remain allegations that have not been proven in court.

Family and friends have paid tribute to the victim, remembering him as a caring and much-loved young man. Community members have also expressed condolences to his family following the tragic incident.
