A 52-year-old woman has been charged following an alleged assault on 19-year-old French café worker Anais Poupon at Melbourne’s La Vallee Cafe on Anzac Day. CCTV footage allegedly showed the woman slapping a plate the waitress was carrying into her face before smashing it to the ground. The accused was arrested at Dandenong Railway Station and charged with recklessly causing injury before being bailed to appear in court in August.
