A fatal crash case has reached the Mildura Magistrates’ Court, with a woman facing charges connected to a collision that occurred in Mildura earlier this year. Police allege the crash happened on 24 March at the intersection of San Mateo Avenue and Twentieth Street, shortly before 9am. A passenger in one of the vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital.

The collision involved a silver Holden and a truck. Emergency services responded to the scene and the injured passenger was taken to hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, the passenger later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Following an investigation by the Major Collision Investigation Unit, the driver of the Holden was charged with dangerous driving causing death, failing to give way and careless driving. The accused was bailed to appear before the Mildura Magistrates’ Court.

The court proceedings are part of the ongoing legal process following the investigation. The charges remain allegations and have not been proven in court.
