The City of Greater Geelong has announced the final season of its “One Tree for Me” campaign, a community initiative encouraging residents to plant trees on private property to help increase urban canopy cover and improve environmental sustainability. Since launching in 2022, the program has distributed thousands of subsidised trees to local households, supporting biodiversity, shade creation and cooling in suburban areas. Council says the final round will continue encouraging residents to contribute to greener neighbourhoods while stocks last.
