Police in New South Wales have released CCTV images as they investigate multiple alleged sexual offences involving women using walking trails around Narrabeen, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The latest police update, published on 17 October 2026, says detectives from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating reports of incidents in the Narrabeen area. Police established Strike Force Mexvo with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad to investigate the reports and determine whether the incidents are connected.

Three incidents were reported as occurring on 7 and 8 October. In each reported incident, a man allegedly approached women on walking trails, sexually touched them and rode away on an electric bicycle. Police said inappropriate sexual comments were also allegedly made during one incident.

Investigators subsequently received further reports. A woman reported that a man had allegedly sexually touched her near Narrabeen Lagoon, close to South Creek Road in Wheeler Heights, at about 4:30 pm on 1 October. Police also received a report that two women walking near Bilarong Reserve at Narrabeen Lagoon between 5 pm and 5:30 pm on 12 October had allegedly been sexually touched by a man riding an e-bike.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries. Police describe him as being of Caucasian appearance, believed to be under 25 years old, approximately 175 centimetres tall and of medium build. Investigators are working to establish whether the reported incidents are linked. The release of CCTV images is intended to help identify the person shown and gather information that could advance the investigation. Police have not announced a confirmed identification in the published update.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incidents, recognises the person in the official CCTV images, or has relevant mobile-phone or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers. Members of the public should provide information directly to investigators rather than making public accusations about anyone they believe they recognise. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can also be provided through the official Crime Stoppers website.

The allegations remain under investigation, and no person should be treated as guilty unless the allegations are established through the legal process.
