The Emerald Skate Park in Queensland’s Central Highlands has been temporarily closed from Monday, 3 August 2026, as refurbishment work begins to improve the popular community recreation area. The closure is expected to allow maintenance teams to complete cosmetic improvement works and refresh the facility for local users.

The refurbishment project is focused on improving the appearance and condition of the skate park while ensuring the facility remains a safe and enjoyable space for young people, families and community members.
